Public Engagement and Research Impact Workshop

This 3-day residential workshop will introduce the concept of public engagement — what it is, why it matters, and how it can enhance the impact of your research. Guided by public engagement and impact experts, you’ll explore practical strategies for identifying target audiences and tailoring your message to resonate while maintaining the integrity of your research.

We warmly encourage applications from Early Career Researchers across ALL Scottish universities and disciplines whose research aligns with the themes of SRAEHL.

About the Programme

Led by Dr Emilka Skrzypek, the Emerging Research Leaders Programme is a skills development initiative designed for early career researchers (ECRs) across all disciplines.

At its core are annual training workshops designed to help participants:

Enhance the impact of their research
Develop leadership skills
Build confidence in public and academic engagement

In addition to training, the programme also offers:

Networking opportunities with peers and experts
Knowledge exchange across disciplines
Collaborative dialogue on one of Scotland’s most urgent challenges: Creating fair and sustainable pathways to a net zero future.
